Heaps of Dead Rising 2 DLC on its way to PSN

Dead Rising 2 senior producer Josh Bridge has confirmed that Capcom will be unleashing a plethora of downloadable content for the zombie-slaying sequel on PlayStation Network in the coming weeks.

First in line is the Psychopath Theme Pack, which allows you to kit hero Chuck Greene out in a horror-themed outfit that augments him with an assortment of weapons including a chainsaw, cleaver, axe and machete. Apparently, this’ll make Greene ‘stronger and deadlier’. It’s out on October 12.

Up next is the Soldier of Fortune Theme on October 19, which “decks you out as the ultimate action hero with increased deadliness for all firearms”.

After this comes the Sports Fun Pack, where you take on the role of the “ultimate sports party animal,” allowing Greene to down as much drink as possible without getting sick in the process. In addition, you’ll also prove “more deadly with any sporty weapons.” Look out for this pack on October 26.

Finally, Capcom will be releasing the Ninja Theme pack on November 2, rendering you “virtually undetectable to the undead” as a result. Furthermore, Greene’s proficiency with swords and throwing weapons will increase dramatically. Sounds like a winner to us.

Not trying to sound ungrateful but do you know what would be great, Case Zero and Case West, just saying.

Its just costumes that give you a small ability.

Noting amazing or anything. Its literally like the car pack DLC for mafia 2.

I have the ninja one and it is the most useful.Since the're lots of zombies its good to not be detected.

So basicly all the free pre-order stuff people got from various places will be avalbile to everyone for a price. Fig it would happen. @2 I think microsoft made a deal with them to get those exclusive to them for a while. So maybe PSN will get it. Think of it like the GTA dlc.

If they think i would pay for content they made before the game was released they can think again! This content should be in the final product and not separate for more money! I love dead rising but i hate it when they hold out on us!!! Screw you capcom

So we get a bunch of aesthetic costumes and a few new weapons...oh yeah the ninja thing keeps you from being seen, yadda yadda...isn't the point of the game to BE detected, and KILL zombies in the process of completing objectives, rescuing people?

These are just the pre-order extras that were given away at different stores for free.

Without Case Zero and Case West, I will still never buy this game.

When Capcom releases a game you can count on tons of downloadable content, followed by more DLC packs, then finally a re-release Gold (mineral) edition.

Next will be a Move patch.

Rikus, you neglected to mention how the move patch will only work with the re-released Gold (minereal) edition.... lmao

Nothing special here. 360 gets the real DLC. PS3 gets to pay for the costumes preorders already got for free......

I think its ridiculous that games released on multi platforms have content exclusive only to certain systems ie: case west and case zero only being available on Xbox 360. Im thinking in the future if developers want to start playing this crap on us, I am just going to start boy cotting their games. Its a disservice to the fans and customers and an insult to the people driving their business.
