SCi Entertainment, owner of publisher Eidos, announced today that it has been approached with a probable buy out. UK newspaper The Guardian has reported that Ubisoft, apparently, has a strong interested in SCi.
In a letter to the London Stock Exchange (LSE), SCi confirmed that it's in the potential stages of a buy out discussion with an unnamed interest. According to The Guardian, however, Ubisoft is trying to buy them out once again. Ubisoft previously tried to buy out SCi, but nothing came of it.
Furthermore, The Guardian says potential offers could even come from Sony. The outcome will be interesting, as there is potential that future titles could become platform exclusive.
