Steambot Chronicles 2 announced for PS3

Preliminary development of Bumpy Trot 2 (otherwise known as the sequel to Steambot Chronicles) has been shifted from Sony’s PlayStation 2 console over to the PlayStation 3, according to the games official website, located here.

The Steambot Chronicles was a unique RPG to say the least, blending a fantasy story with Western elements. The battle system also strayed from the norm, including the implementation of various robots.

This change in platform doesn't come as much of a surprise, considering it was announced for the PS2 not long before the PS3 launched. Irem, the company behind this title, will be unveiling the game next week at the Tokyo Game Show; however, its web page currently shows some insight to what the game will look like.

The concept was interesting so I wanted to enjoy Steambot on PS2 but ended up leaving the game mid story. I didnt think the story or gameplay was that good. In addition there where better options available like Dark Cloud, Disgaea, FF and KH series etc...

There's not much competition on the PS3 at the moment so any game is welcome and should probably sell OK - As for me I might wait see the reviews first.

Hey, when the heck is it coming out in America??

I mean come on, the first one rocked.

    So, where's the second one?

Just tell me a due date, or something. Like when it's going to be out in Wal-Mart, or anywhere in America.

The first one had everything. An awesome storyline. Giant robots (well semi-giant robots). And every action you did lead up to something. Who doesn't like a game like that?
