Sony hires former SEGA marketing VP
Sony Computer Entertainment America has confirmed that former SEGA marketing Vice President Scott Steinberg will take up the position formally held by David Karraker from October 1st.
Steinberg first started working for SEGA in 1990 during the years of the Genesis, having previously worked in the marketing business for companies including Eidos Interactive and Crystal Dynamics.
"We are thrilled to have Scott join our team as he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the PlayStation marketing staff and the management group here at SCEA," commented Peter Dille, Senior Vice President of Marketing and PlayStation Network.
"Scott has an ideal blend of experience in digital entertainment and content delivery as well as a proven track record for strategic innovation and implementation within this industry. He will be a critical component for the success of our marketing efforts across the PlayStation brand moving forward."
Former SCEA PR boss Dave Karraker surprisingly announced he would be leaving the company earlier this month, commenting that his departure was a “difficult decision” to reach.
We wish Scott Steinberg best of luck working for SCEA.
