Retailers explain UK Lair delay

Retail giant GAME has stated that the UK release of Lair was delayed due to the absence of an age rating sticker on the game disc.

The Factor 5-developed title was originally scheduled to go on sale in the UK on November 9.

However, employees at GAME revealed to CVG "the reason Lair has been delayed is because there is no age rating printed on the disk."

Previously, a spokesperson for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe commented: “Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, the launch of Lair has been delayed very slightly.

The company has yet to reveal when the game will finally hit store shelves, but expect an announcement to arrive shortly.

Stay tuned for more developments as they break.

Nope there MUST be a sticker on the disc for it to be distributed in the UK.  Laws are laws...however if you nip to Tesco you'll probably get a copy seeing as they've been selling them since friday...

    @ PS3-The ultimate machine

Its not just websites that have panned the game mate, but also highly respected gaming bible Edge. They I belive gave the game 3 out of 10 and ripped into shoddy game controls and highlighted poor graphics and some glitches also, in particular the water effects. On the whole from what I've seen of the game it looks poor to average at best. I'll rent it and make my own mind up because I just can't understand how any game where you get to ride a dragon can be bad. Also bit confused by this story because I syill see loads of copies of Lair in the shops AND my copy of COD4 also has no age rating on the disk like someone else has pointed out.

The delay isnt a problem to me.As long as the game is already on the way to the ps3.
