MotorStorm gets v3.1 patch upgrade

Last month, MotorStorm received patch update, which included all-important DualShock 3 support. Now Evolution Studios, the brains behind MotorStorm is releasing the 3.1 patch upgrade.
While it is not as big as the Devil’s Weekend patch the new update will include mirrored tracks and 2D vehicle selection.
The mirrored track feature is an interesting addition that allows gamers to experience a track from a different perspective. Where players would initially have to make a right turn, the mirrored track will have them going to the left instead.
Secondly, the vehicle selection screen will be able to be operated not only through 3D form, but also through a 2D grid, which will speed up the selection process, allowing gamers to get to the race faster. A proximity meter as well as two new audio tracks "Devils Crossing" by Elite Force and "Beat the Devil" b Jiffster has also been added.
MotorStorm still continues to be one of the strongest PS3 titles to date. Lets just hope that that the success will warrant a sequel.

I'm very happy with Evoloution Studios and what they've done to this game. They just keep making it better and better for the customer. Should be a role model to all the other game developers. Guarantee they'll release a sequel. Couldn't imagine anything better besides split screen.

Definitely cool you can now choose your vehicles in a more "load" friendly setting - also pretty tight you can run the tracks backward as well - cool to see Motorstorm and Resistance get da special treatment.

i thought MotorStorm 2 was already confirmed....?? i traded in my copy of Motorstorm due to fact that it would always freeze up my ps3 whenever i would play onlne and i waited for the patch to fix that problem but that patch didnt fix my problem...

The only thing that matters for this game is 2 player mode. I can't play any friends because they don't have a ps3. How do you not make this game 2 players its redik and beyond me

best action racing game ever created or just racing in genral putting GT aside... if u play it with head fones and listen to some really good music it will become one of ur fav games trust me! go beyond gameplay wen u try out games aha i add abuncha stuff my own.. like musica yaaay and realisticnness with shooters (slow moving, scary) w.e im a freak but soo what =]

MotorStorm is such a great game that really little things get in the way. (no split-screen & no map preview [last time I played it didn't have that anyway]) To see them going to a 2D selection will make the game more enjoyable, though.
