HMV hosting UK MGS4 pre-launch event in London

London’s flagship HMV store in Oxford Street is to host a special pre-launch event for Konami’s forthcoming Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots early next month.
Taking place on June 2, the event will be attended by Konami’s Hideo Kojima and Yoji Shinkawa, who will be on hand from 12.00pm onwards to meet with fans and sign pre-release sleeves for the highly anticipated stealth adventure.
Due to time constraints, HMV has confirmed that only 300 sleeves will be available on the day of the event from 9am onwards. Those interested must deposit GBP 5 for the sleeve upon pre-ordering a copy of their game.
Metal Gear Solid 4 is due out exclusively on PS3 on June 12.

I hope they hold simliar events near me in the US i dont want to have to go to LA so i pray for something in San Francisco .

Personally, I don't see the point in attending these events - you're not going to be the first to own the game.
Chances are that several thousand people who pre-ordered online are going to get the game the day before the official launch, and will have already been playing the game for 24 hours while you're stood in a queue twiddling your thumbs and - possibly - getting mugged!
