Harmonix has revealed that trophy support will be included in the PlayStation 3 version of its forthcoming music simulation title, Rock Band 2.

"We're going to be including features that you didn't have in the previous version on the PS3," said Lead Designer, Dan Teasdale, during an interview with Videogamer.com.

“You're going to have voice chat, you're going to have complete integration with rockband.com, you're going to have trophies. We're going to make sure that PS3 gamers have just as great an experience."

The upcoming sequel is scheduled to hit the Xbox 360 later this year, followed by the PS3 and Wii versions at a later date.

Stay tuned for more information on Rock Band 2 as it becomes available.

Drew1987, do you seriously want in-game music with rock band? It'd be slightly pointless. Although you're probably just talking about ingame music in general.

@dangerousmali - Bioshock...great game...but I finished it and got teh achievements for it...unless they'v edrastically changed the game, i'm not playing through it again.

Don't get me wrong, trophies = good...already got a fair whack of the SSD ones but it shouldn't be a "support them if you want" matter...it should be "this is what you WILL put in the game"...

ah well...what's one persons opinion worth these days...

Isn't it supposed that all upcoming PS3 games must support trophies? Trophies should be mandatory on all new games.

Yes Trophy support should be mandatory by now, but hey, you'd think after Perfect Dark and GoldenEye that 4 Player offline deathmatch would be mandatory in a FPS or other sort of shooter. Where has the quality of gaming gone?
