Gearbox Software has confirmed that its upcoming World War II FPS Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway will arrive slightly later than expected, with the game now scheduled to launch this September.

The highly anticipated sequel was originally pencilled in for release next month, though it appears the title has now been held back to coincide with the anniversary of Operation Market Garden in late September.

Gearbox President Randy Pitchford commented: "We'll be gold in August, but it looks like the actual shelf date will be in September.”

"... late September is the anniversary of Operation Market Garden, so I think it would be really poetic if the game launched on the anniversary,” added Pitchford.

Stay tuned.

I'm not so sure about buying this game, I'll probably keep my money for Fallout 3. They have some stiff competition if they release it around that time. @sasa_7, I haven't really understood the meaning either.

Why the heck do they announce the video games so early? In my opinion wait until your done with the game, but not the polishing, you know, so people know its comming but dont need to wait two and a half years like metal gear solid 4. I think they should of wait for them to announce this game till about a month ago, but no they announced it way back in eary 2007, I've kinda lost interest, I mean stop with all the hype thats what ruins things with potential,"HAZE"!!!!!

I'm not sure, but I think it's going to be the Rainbow Six: Vegas game engine (means: laggy on the ps3) but with a WWii theme. The RB6 engine just doesn't work well with PS3. It feels laggy and ugly. So scrap that whole thing, nobody want's it.
