Velvet Assassin showing no love for PS3

For those of you hoping to jump in the skintight leather pants of Violette Summer and thwart German Nazi's on your PlayStation 3 next year, you may be in for a disappointment.
Speaking with PSU.com, a Gamecock representative confirmed that Replay Studios is not developing a PS3 version of Velvet Assassin.
"Unfortunately there will not be a PS3 version of Velvet Assassin," said the representative. "The reason being that Replay Studios started off as a PC development team, then branched into 360 development as the transition was 'relatively simple', but their engine does not support PS3."

However, if you are still up for killing Nazi's and running sabotage missions in a World War II setting, keep in mind Pandemic is working on a new title called Saboteur, which will be hitting store shelves in 2009.

Understandable. I really think that was been the issue with the majority of western devs.
EDIT: It has nothing to do with laziness. Know how, time and resources all matter. I wouldn't want them to even attempt a port at this time. It will make everyone mad.

I suppose they are too "lazy" to develop it for the Wii too. It's not their fault that Sony decided to make a radical hardware change that makes development more difficult. Just be glad there are people that ARE willing to spend massive amounts and time and money on the PS3 when PC and 360 are cheaper, easier, and so far have yielded better results.

I hate lazy developers. The Bioshock team did it just fine. And when the ps2 came out it was "difficult to develop for" as well. And it is STILL hopping.

More and more bad news are coming out, proving that today the best console to chose from is strongly becoming the XBox. don't kill me for saying this, but MS keeps winning and winning battle after battle. Multi plat games are better, all major 3rd party games all come out on the Xbox, and the Xbox shows some power with games like Gears of war 2. Not to mention the price. Things have never looked worse to Sony like today.
