Insomniac Games has joined in the festive cheer this week by offering a free batch of Resistance 2 goodies for today’s weekly PlayStation Store update.
Fans of Nathan Hale’s triumphant return can look forward to a new trailer for the shooter, XMB themes, along with a free batch of map packs for the original title, Resistance: Fall of Man.
Elsewhere, Insomniac’s Bryan Intihar revealed that more patches are on the way for Resistance 2, along with "some really cool” features for MyResistance.net. Apparently, the PlayStation Blog will have more information on both of these in the near future.
To top off all the Resistance festivities, Insomniac's Ted Price will be featured on G4’s X-Play tomorrow chatting about his favourite games, so be sure to tune in for that.
Check back later today for our weekly PlayStation Store update coverage.

@#2. You tube. There's only another 12 hours in the day left, and besides, where is the SCE region it's comin from? Japan? Europe? America? Different time zones. Let's face it, day 1 is gonna be sluggish, buggy and crappy. I'm leavin it for a few weeks to balance out.
Resistance. Sweet. Love it. Not touchin R2 though cause it seems a bit too over hyped for me.. Hmmm.. I dunno...

I hope they release a expansion pack for Co-op.
More upgrades, Higher level cap, More Maps, More Berserks, You cant have more weapons but maybe all classes can eventually get all the weapons.

@4: i am sure the expand the Co-op soon i think it is too soon, as not everyone as reached the max of all the classes already (unless to play non stop since release even then it is impossible)

it won't help, r2 is rubbish comparing to fom, poor halo imitation and i hate halo, my copy is going to the shop for cod5, i won't keep it even if they'll release tons of free dlc, biggest disappointment since gta4.

aphexman- you'll be disappointed, i admit R2 isn't as good as it should of been, the single player was good, but the multiplayer, dosn't match the quality of COD4, BUT COD5 is a farce! single players too short and meaningless, and multiplayer is nowhere near as good as 4! whether its the weapons, era, or the sterotypical american seargent swearing of at the end of each game, its just not good!

i know that cod5 is another poor sequel, but it's the only game i haven't played yet, and i even tried mirror's edge which bored me to death.

as far as FPS goes, we can only look forward to killzone 2! i think cod4 set the fps online benchmark, which it seem other games are struggling to match!

I love R2's online. The cooperative if really fun. Even though you play the same missions over and over, you level up, get new guns, and play with other (retarded) teammates everytime. Its fun to work together and accomplish something in a game. When I get bored of coop, i go to the competitive and it too is pretty amazing.
