Last week, we reported via Game Informer’s “Loose Talk” that Rockstar North were currently in the process of working on a new Grand Theft Auto title for release by the end of the year.
However, according to Kotaku, Rockstar representatives have denied the rumor saying there is "no truth" to the reports that a new GTA title will hit before the holidays.
"We don't comment on rumor and speculation," a Rockstar representative told PSU.
The only thing related to Grand Theft Auto that has been confirmed to release this year are the two DLC content packs for the Xbox 360, with "The Lost and Damned" due out next month.
As to what the company has planned beyond GTA IV DLC, we can only speculate. Stay tuned for more information as it breaks.

I thought GTA was overhyped and reviews were never really correct. I found it pretty boring compared to the previous ones, with nothing new either. To bring another out this quickly would of meant the end of it surely. They will really have to pull something out of the bag to make this different and enjoyable next time.

If they are saying there is no truth... then it must be absolutely true.

while the graphics of GTA4 were awesome, the game itself lacked a whole slew of things then it's previous installments. For the DLC to come out this late in time is going to hurt it's sales too. I'm not saying it's not going to sell but if they would have came out with the DLC like a month or two after the game it would sell a lot better.
The reviews I believe just based the score that it was a GTA game. I have read a ton of reviews and the reviews didn't make any sense on the total score it got.

i think the problem was they went from a fun to realism in a long game where if you cant have a little fun or do sumthing that probably wouldnt happen just feels like everyday life without the killing and kidnapping
saints row is sumthing that looks like it captivates the old gta but seeing the prieviews for the nex one the graphics looked worse than GTA:SA -

Everybody knows that next year there will be new GTA and follow same with other games. Since these companies has created one game and sold out well, and they will keep doing same thing over and over.
