It’s all been quiet for some time on the Wolfenstein front, but during yesterday’s Activision Blizzard conference call, CEO Mike Griffith confirmed that the game is approaching the end of its development cycle.
Wolfenstein is the sequel to Raven Software’s 2001 hit, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, a first person shooter set during the Second World War. Though he didn’t furnish us with any details on the game, Griffith did reveal that Wolfenstein will be released this Summer on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
According to details released by the publisher, the storyline follows the Allied forces battling against the Nazis, who are obsessed with an occult force known only as the Black Sun. Quite simply; this means there will be hundreds of Nazi zombies just waiting to be slaughtered!
Check out the official Wolfenstein website to watch the debut trailer. We can expect to receive more details on the game shortly.
