Technical issues delay PS3 HAWX demo

While Xbox 360 gamers are today enjoying taking to the skies in the likes of a Harrier Jet or a Fighting Falcon, Ubisoft has confirmed that PlayStation 3 owners will have to wait for their Tom Clancy's HAWX fix.
The demo was due to be released today on PS3, but it has apparently suffered with technical difficulties. A post on Ubisoft's Twitter page states: "HAWX PS3 demo delayed to Feb 26th, due to the late discovery of an unexpected issue. We apologize for the situation."
Needless to say, it must be a significant issue to delay the demo by an entire fortnight. Hopefully it will be worth the wait.
Tom Clancy's HAWX is scheduled for its full release in North America on March 6 and in Europe on March 13.

there's 2 things i don't get about the demo releases in Xbox and PSN:
1.- if Xbox live market place have a size limit of 350 mb (or something like that, i know there's a size limit anyway), and always is the same demos, why the PSN is 80 % of the time bigger?
2.- Xbox live update isnt mondays? or they update everyday?

first off, the size limit on the 360 marketplace is only for the Arcade games, the demos are usually upwards of 1GB just like the PS3.
The Xbox marketplace is also updated every wednesday but they filter some content out on other days as well.
On top of this, the game is "meh" at best...i expected more...

for me I go with the M$ conspiracy theory... Ubisoft was planning to sneak out a PS3 version in Europe thinking they could get by with not releasing in US until 26th and M$ said "Noooooo (with check in hand, nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more, say no more) ALL PS3 versions get held up till 26th"... LOL

I dunno about M$ buying Ubi off, of course it's a possibility. I mean, Ubi won't say that they delayed the demo because M$ payed them, they'll say some other BS...hmm, like this!
(If exclusivity is indeed the case) So who knows, but really, I'm sick and tired of this "timed exclusivity". Even on demos!!! WTF?!? M$ are truly desperate. They know they're already loosing exclusives like Dead Rising, Lost Planet, (probably) Mass Effect, etc. So, to M$, please just concentrate on your Halo and GeOw franchises, 'cause that's all you have! Oh and that Vaporware called Alan Wake! LMAO!!!

Complete bull. Ubisoft confirmes it coming out for both consoles. Then later that day, MS says it is going to be exclusive on Xbox LIVE for a few weeks and then Ubisoft said that they saw the tech problem and had to delay it. Seems kind of weird that MS knew about the probem before Ubisoft?? Give me a break.

wats funny is the least they couldve done about this "technical" issue is to at least say wat was wrong mayb ppl would beleive them but the fact that Ubisoft didnt even say a damn sentence explaining the "problem" just shows it right away that M$ had most likely something to do with it.

Yeah, this is BS! It only seems obvious that the PS3 ver would have the problem, and held back for 2 weeks?!! You know M$ forked some $$$ out of there a** for this one.

M$ got exclusive rights to early demo on the Feb 10th and PSN was supposed to get it on the 26th along with PC. But the funny thing is europe PSN was supposed to get the demo on the 12th. Well when the 12th came Ubisoft issued a statement on their twitter page saying it didn't get released due to technical problems with the game..... Seems like M$ is in everybody's pocked these days. Head on over to the Hawx forums and check out the backlashing over this.

The final game will propably end up being another shoddy port.
