New Wet screens to whet your appetite

Now that Bethesda has decided to publish Wet, more media has trickled out of the studio. Get it? Yeah, we're super clever.

The six screens display a Strangehold-esque game with an emphasis on acrobatics, gunplay, and swordplay. While the game isn't very technically impressive, the 'Rage' visual filter definitely looks intriguing.

When Rage kicks in at predetermined times, the screen will turn blood-red, and Rubi becomes considerably more powerful. To balance that, she's faced with far greater threats.

The rest of the game looks considerably over-the-top, with car-hopping and sword-slicing a-plenty. Take a look at all of the new screens in the Wet image gallery.

@4- This phrase is often confused with 'wet your whistle'. Uncertainty about the spelling of the first word, either as whet or wet, leads to both phrases being wrongly spelled too. In fact there's no connection between the two terms, which are properly spelled as 'whet your appetite' and 'wet your whistle'. The allusion in the former is to the sharpening of tools on a whetstone (grindstone) and to whet means just to sharpen. So, 'whetting our appetite' is 'sharpening our appetite'.

After Stranglehold failed, some game designers looked at it and thought, I know lets copy it and not really make it any better.
