Media Molecule working on new, 'groundbreaking' PS3 game?

With LittleBigPlanet, one of the most popular modern platformers under its belt, and a PlayStation Portable version of said game in the works, you’d think the small U.K. developer Media Molecule would have its hands full. But a new job listing for a Gameplay Programmer might just show the studio is currently working on a new PlayStation 3 title.

The job listing certainly hints at LittleBigPlanet 2, as it seeks applicants with “experience writing and maintaining physics code,” and who have experience with console games with online components. The new title is a “Ground-breaking, AAA, PS3 title for Sony Computer Entertainment.”

We can’t confirm that the ad is for LBP2, continued work on LBP, or an entirely new title.

    Why do you need a sequel to a game that has never-ending levels?  If it is LBP2, that could be a disasterous release.  Well, not the game's quality, but that no one buys it.

    Not too excited. Seeing as how the online turned out for LBP, I only want to play the story for this new game.

    being able to create full 3d levels would be the only way i'd buy lbp2. but who really knows what they have planned, maybe something entirely new.

    @6

    Completely agree.

    I remember reading something ages ago that they wanted a 3d Sackboy world or something like that. Not too sure as it was ages ago.

    But whatever it is, they've proven to me they deserve my money.

    I'm glad some devs try and do innovative stuff (even thou risky business) instead of rehashing old code/engines with minor tweeks just to do sequels. '99 '00 '01 '02 '03 '04 '05 '06 etc etc

    I hope they never do LBP in 3D..... I think one of the reasons LBP is awesome is because of the old school 2D platformer feel... Lets not ruin it with 3D alot of people arent good in 3 dimensions and they would lose that audience if they went 3D.....
