UPDATE: It appears the GameFly listing was an error, premature at best. We'll let you know if Square Enix makes any additional announcements about a PlayStation 3 release for Star Ocean: The Last Hope.

----------

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: It looks like the Xbox 360 exclusive Star Ocean: The Last Hope is coming to the PlayStation 3, according to a listing on rental site GameFly. A spokesperson for GameFly told Joystiq, “We simply post information as it is supplied to us by the publishers.”

Star Ocean: The Last Hope, developed by tri-Ace and published by Square Enix, is a team-oriented RPG starring Edge Maverick. The game was released earlier this year and received decent reviews. GameFly lists the release date as TBD.

If GameFly’s listing is accurate, it appears PS3 owners will have another RPG to play while they wait for the new Final Fantasy games.

    LMFAO @ #6.... so true.

I knew it was coming to the PS3....I am so glad I didn't buy an X360 to play this, ninja gaiden 2 and Tales of Vesperia. Now they just need to release Last Remnant for the PS3 (with out the issues ofcourse).

Squ'eenix says it was a mislist... I hope it does come, though... RPGs don't belong on the 360.
