Namco Bandai has announced an October 30 launch date for its hotly anticipated brawler Tekken 6 in UK territories.
In addition, the company also priced up both the Arcade Stick and Collector’s Edition bundles, which will be available for £149.99 and £69.99 each, respectively. The former includes a fighting stick, 100 page art-book and a copy of the game, while the latter features the game, art book, exclusive poster and a snazzy sweatshirt designed by the game’s art team.
Having triumphed in the previous tournament, Tekken 6 sees devil-infused Jin Kazama as the unscrupulous leader of the Mishima Zaibatsu, and decides to host the sixth King of the Iron Fist tournament in an effort to lure out his estranged father, Kazuya. The world’s most tenacious grandpa, Heihachi, also joins the brawl in an effort to reclaim the family business in what promises to be the most comprehensive entry in the franchise to date.
The game will be available for PlayStation 3, PSP and Xbox 360.

Awesome series. My fav personally is Tekken 3. But Tekken 6, wont have any characters to unlock. They've said that its a disadvantage to those who when they play online, they wont have all characters, so what Namco is doing, is making all 40 something chars open right from the start. This is going to make the game get old very quickly as the feeling you get from unlocking a secret character wont be there. Also the fact its on xbox puts me right off.

I agree with Foxforce Four that Tekken 3 was the greatest.
It even had a decent plot at that time.
The massive overhaul in Tekken 4 however made it my favourite though, but Tekken 5 reversed all of that.
If they could have found a halfway ground between the two I'd be pleased.
Additionally I fear that now that I've let the uber realistic Virtua Fighter in I may not be able to go back.
If Tekken could play like Virtua Fighter (No effin fireballs and lightning blasts) meets the 3D roaming of Tekken 4, well I'd shave my legs in anticipation.

nope, kind of an outrageous pricing. MK vs DC was good but I'd never pay that for that kind of dough. In fact there is no straight up fighting game worth that kind of cash. Sorry, I like Tekken, SF, MK and in fact most of those type of games. However, thats the problem. The market has already been flooded and the only way it could be better is crazy stuff like seks fatalities. LOL.

Does anyone really think this game is going to be any different from the past game? They are doing exactly what EA does with Madden, improve graphics/rosters and that's it. There is seriously nothing special about Tekken 6 at all. To me, this game is a complete fail for as long as it took them to come out with it. It's going to be know different then the past two, just with like 2 or 3 new characters, Big whoopdy do, that is sure worth $59.99, blah.
All fighting games are shallow, they don't take nearly as much time to make as other $60.00 priced games. Fighting games should actually cost around $39.99 if not then 29.99, there is nothing $60.00 about those games. The decrease in fighters the past few years is because of the lack of multiplayer online and the pricing. Sometimes I really wonder if there are special retards that run those development teams.

I think it would be awesome to work for an actualy successful company, like Kojima or Project Aces (ace combat productions).
