Sucker Punch sure made an impact with May's popular inFamous. Whether it’s due to the rivalry with Activision's Prototype or the other hordes of recent smash titles, it seems many gamers still don't own a copy of inFamous. Sucker Punch wants you to have an absolutely electrifying Christmas this year, so they've graciously reduced the price to just $39.99 USD.

Still not enough to entice you? Then, starting December 10th, you can download Cole's 'Gigawatt Blades' DLC completely free from the PlayStation Store. Now how could you turn down such a deal? Even if you're not exactly an avid fan of the game, inFamous's official soundtrack will be released with three additional bonus tracks on December 8th, making for a perfect gift: Game, free DLC, and OST all for the price of one.
Sumthing Else Music Works is the place to stop by during your Christmas shopping if inFamous's musical score tickled your fancy. The soundtrack is also available right now for digital download at Sumthing Digital.
In holiday spirit, and due to their recent generosity, we'd like to congratulate Sucker Punch on selling more than 1.2 million copies!

@13 think about all the workers that worked on this game for the entirety of its development and the wages they were paid for each hour of work, including all the computers used, power used, rent for studio space, and all the other costs that go into business. games seem very expensive but when you think about all that went into them its well worth it. i was amazed at MGS4s credits, there must of been 300-400 or more people who worked on this title in some way or another, and the company needs to make this money back, and then some, to make it viable as a company :)

@13. I usually pay around £30-£35 for my PS3 games, at launch ! i see this as very good value indeed really, i was paying £40-£50 for Megadrive and SNES games 20 years ago ! and they cost a fraction of the cost to program compared to something like Uncharted 2 and GT5. It cost me £40 for sword of vermillion on the MD which was a 5MB cartridge, compare that to a fairly full Blu Ray disc of data and think yourself lucky that the price hasn't gone up per MB of programming LOL

Hooray for not falling for the gamestop preorder trick to get the blades!
@13 - the price is higher this generation because of the developers assertion that games this gen cost more to develope due to the high def nature of them. Higher resolutions mean larger and more detailed textures, more polygons means a longer hours for modellers, more complicated systems (atleast in the PS3's case, I dont know how MS gets away with it) means longer programer hours. Bluray atleast for the first couple of years were more expensive to produce... now prices on them are dropping though so I dont understand why that's still a factor (or why MS still charges that much even though they still use DVDs).
