If you didn’t get your fill of Ezio’s adventure and feel like you missed something in his DNA sequence, Ubisoft will have some answers in January and February provided by downloadable content for Assassin’s Creed 2. Today, Ubisoft released price points for both DLC packs.
As if there isn’t enough to do in the game, with tons of side quests to complete, the Battle of Forli and Bonfire of the Vanities downloadable content packs will help to fill gaps in Ezio’s DNA Sequences missing from the original storyline of AC 2. Sequence 12: Battle of Forli will cost $3.99 USD, while Sequence 13: Bonfire of the Vanities will cost $4.99 USD.
The Battle of Forli will include six new memories that task Ezio with helping Machiavelli and Caterina Sforza to defend Forli from the nasty Orsi Brothers. The goal is to keep a Piece of Eden from landing into Templar possession. Perhaps the most exciting prospect is getting another ride in Leonardo’s flying machine.
The Bonfire of the Vanities gives gamers a new place to explore in Florence and gives Ezio the new spring-jump move.

Am I the only one that's bothered when when it says it fill gaps in the original storyline? Shouldn't those just be in the normal game?

This is bull, I was wondering why there was no trophies for memory 12 and 13. there wasn't even a 12 or 13 dna in the game. This should of been in the game from the get go and I will not be buying it. Im going to trade my game in tomorrow as I have beat the game, may I add its a good game.

These DNA sequences weren't not important for the overall storyline. The jump from 11 to 14 was actually good for the pace of the storyline. If 12 and 13 had been in the game and by the sounds of what they are about, the significant ending of 11 wouldn't have carried over to 14 effectively if these missing DNA's were already there.
The main game is already long as it is so it wasn't a huge loss. Will be getting both dlc when they come out ^_^

Game companies should just release their games a month after they are planning on releasing it if they can't do touch up things like this in their normal time frame. I understand it costs money to make these kinds of changes but heck, at $69.99 before tax? give me a break... i work hard for my money

This game kept me busy for serveral days, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I don't mind paying that extra $9 for more game time. Pocket change to continue a great game.

Buying definately. And all you guys complaining about the part of "gaps" in the storyline get over it. I'm going to be happy when these come out. More things to do which makes the game even more worth getting! And this might mean a game of the year or a collectors addition. Who knows!

Yeah DLC is supposed to be EXTRA content, not content that is necessary to understand the full scope of the game/storyline. I haven't beat the game yet, but from what I hear that seems to be the case.

Usually I would complain about this kind of thing , but having beat the whole game , I feel as though the story and gameplay were more than fleshed out in the retail version. There were no "gaps" that were apparent. These aren't overpriced so I will pick them up. The game was really long without this DLC , so throwing them in there would have made the game drag. Kind of like an extended director's cut , usually they ruin the pace of the movie because those scenes were deleted for a reason. It's cool to watch them after you watch the movie proper , like in this case. Now , as for whether they should charge for it , that's a matter of whether they actually put extra development time in after the game was complete, or whether they are pulling a Street Fighter 4 and making us pay for stuff that is already on the disk , which I believe is extortion and theivery. If it's a 6 KB download then we will know they are screwing us, and I will be real pissed at Ubi. But I will give them the benefit of the doubt.
