David Cage shoots down Horizon rumors

Quantic Dream boss David Cage has quashed on-going rumors claiming that the developer’s next title is codenamed Horizon.

The web has been rife with speculation surrounding the Heavy Rain studio’s next game for the past few months now, with the general consensus among Internet rumor mongers pointing to a new title by the name of Horizon.

However, Cage was quick to set the record straight during a chat with the folks at OMP UK: "There's no project called Horizon currently in development at Quantic Dream,” he said.

"This is a codename that one of our partners used in casting sessions along with an unrelated script to avoid leaks from actors."

"It seems it was definitely a wise decision."

Despite this, he reiterated that the company is in the process of working on two new projects with the goal of formulating new ways in which we interact with games, just as the PS3-exclusive Heavy Rain achieved.

More as it breaks.

I want their next game to have the same level of suspense as heavy rain. That's if QD is developing a new game.

    Heavy Rain was terrible

    • Voice Acting sucked
    • Animations were stiff
    • And the graphics were not that great, the only 'outstanding' graphics came from the loading screens with the close up shots of the characters

Why it got so much praise is beyond me

People liked it because it wasn't a game, it was an experience.  It didn't need the best graphics in the world to accomplish it. All it needed was a solid narrative and an immersive world. I can agree that most of the voice acting was subpar, but Scott Shelby's voice acting was actually very impressive.

Some people just don't "get" why it's a brilliant game, and you're one of them unfortunately.

What I want to know is, why you're trolling a post about a game you hate?

    How is my comment trolling?

For a game that was so heavily story driven and was nothing but quicktime events it shouldn't have:

A story with massive plot holes and incredibly boring at points

Quantic Dreams hyped up the graphics (im no graphic whore), facial animations were terrible

    Glitches and bugs

Bad Voice acting (Madison was the only one i liked)

This isn't trolling, these are valid points. I didn't say i 'hated' the game. But for what they hyped it as, it was nothing more than a sloppily written B Movie. It had so much potential.

I was shocked when the killer was revealed though XD

I for one loved Heavy Rain. Definitely looking forward to QD's next game.
