Following news that Activision has closed the doors on its Guitar Hero business, the publisher has today confirmed that it will no longer be churning out fresh DLC for the long-running franchise and DJ Hero.
Despite this, the company did reveal that it will continue to flog existing content for each series. Planned DLC for February will still be released as previously scheduled.
The company wrote on Twitter: "We will continue to sell and support the DLC track and mix packs that have already been released for @GuitarHero."
"We will release the previously announced DLC track and mix packs for February, but we will not be able to release new DLC packs," the firm added.

I just got Warriors of Rock about two months ago and now the series is dead. Sad day for the franchise as GH1, GH2, and GH3 were the best in the series in my opinion. I really think if Activision didn't release a new GH game every other year the series would be still alive. I wonder if the franchise could make a comeback in the future with something fresh.
