Media Create’s confirmed that Nintendo 3DS has claimed the top spot on the Japanese hardware charts for a fourth week running, with PlayStation 3 continuing to snap at the snazzy handheld’s heels in second place.

3DS shifted 61,394 in the Land of the Rising Sun, with Sony’s black behemoth moving 26,623 consoles.

Second place went to PSP with 22,911, while further down the charts, PS2 proved there’s still life in the old dog yet as it (just about) outsold Microsoft’s Xbox 360. Not too shabby for a console that’s been on the market for nearly 11 years.

On the software front meanwhile, PS3-exclusive hack-em-up Dynasty Warriors 6 continues to dominate the landscape, followed by PSP’s tongue-twistingly titled brawler, Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy.
