Namco Bandai has today released its first major trailer for Inversion since it made its debut at GamesCon in Germany in 2010.

In development by Saber Interactive, the developer behind Timeshift, Inversion is a  third-person co-op shooter's that hopes to stand out from the crowd with its gravity manipulation engine. Using the Grappler, players will be able to manipulate gravity in order to gain an advantage in combat, perhaps by picking up and launching a projectile at an enemy, or by lifting a whole group of baddies from behind cover.

The inclusion of the HAVOK engine should also ensure they'll be plenty of opportunity for widespread destruction. Check out the gravity-defying trailer below.

Inversion is due for release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in early 2012.

Well it's a 2012 title, maybe gameplay isn't looking polished enough for them to show it off yet.
