According to the chaps at PSM3 (via NeoGAF), BioWare’s critically acclaimed Mass Effect franchise has flogged over seven million units globally since launch.
The celebrated sci-fi series originally released back in November 2007 for Xbox 360, before making the jump to PC a year later. A sequel followed in 2010.
Much to the delight of PlayStation 3 owners however, the sprawling space RPG soon made the transition to Sony’s flagship platform earlier this year with Mass Effect 2, with a third game currently in the works for release this holiday season.
BioWare’s already promised that Mass Effect 3's ending will be a “spectacular" affair, so there's every reason to be excited for the conclusion to Shepard's space-bound shenanigans.
