Ubisoft today confirmed that the next iteration in the Assassin’s Creed series will be available in November 2011 and will include an enhanced multiplayer experience.
Assassin’s Creed Revelations is the fourth game in the series and will once again focus on assassin Ezio Auditore. Though few details have been revealed, Ubisoft has confirmed that Auditore will find himself travelling from Constantinople (Imperial City of the Roman Empire) to the “heart of the Ottoman Empire.” The story will revolve around an army of Templars who are trying to bring the region to its knees. One of the major new features looks set to be the ability to “manipulate the construct of Desmond’s memories and the Animus to decipher the mysteries of his past and gain insight into the future.”
It seems that Ubisoft is going all out to deliver a solid multiplayer experience, which will include more game modes, maps and characters. Ubisoft also teased significant surprises to be revealed at E3. PSU will be at the E3 Expo in mass, so stay tuned! After that, there will just be a few more months to wait before Assassin’s Creed Revelations is released on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Ezio's story should have ended already!!! I'd like to have seen the franchise move to a different time period and more importantly evolve its mechanics that were so clearly creaking in Brotherhood. I'll reserve judgement but its a bit lame if you ask me.

I would prefer if they'd used Altair. I can understand theyll want to keep the next new character for a new time peroid in AC3 but Ezio is getting on now. I think Altair deserves a game that didn't have all the bad points AC1 had. Nevertheless this is Assassins Creed so I will be buying, day one :)

@10 I think you might be pleasantly surprised then. I had a rumour off of somebody who is still in the games industry that ACR will be set across two time zones. One with Ezio and the other with Altair that'll explain the family link up etc and few more things. It could all be nonsense but she's not steered me wrong in the past with rumours.

I'll only get it if this is the last entry to complete this story; otherwise AC2 will be my last.
