Sony Online Entertainment has introduced microtransactions to the world of DC Universe Online, allowing users to purchase items such as repair bots for a small fee.
The DCUO Marketplace is online from immediate effect, though it clearly needs to be populated with more swag to gather interest. Currently users can pick up repair bots that allow you to fix yourself up while on the move, and Vault Tickets which give you access to a variety of premium items.
Currently, SOE charges a monthly subscription for DCUO but with signs that the population is dwindling in-game could the arrival of microtransactions suggest that the superhero MMO will move to a free to play model sooner than SOE would have liked?

For those judging the game looks by the screenshots dont,It looks nothing like that now.It looks and plays awful. It has horrible freeze issues. It has horrible pop-ups.And end game content means you grind for 2-5 sets of armour but when you get t2 you never go back to the other 3.Oh and you repeat the same dull boring missions over and over.
