Will you buy the new Xbox 360-styled controller for your PS3?

We’re very happy with our DualShock 3 controller for PlayStation 3, but it seems that others maybe aren’t so keen. Talking with Speedlink at GamesCom 2011, we discovered that the peripheral manufacturer is on the verge of releasing a curious new product, the XEOX Wireless gamepad for PS3.
What makes this controller so unique is that it’s the first pad that mimics the style of the Xbox 360 controller, but it's designed specifically for PS3 gamers. In terms of form factor, it does feel identical to the black wireless Xbox 360 controller that comes bundled with the Xbox 360 Elite, but it has a few minor changes.
A turbo button sits just to the right of the d-pad for rapid-firing, while the traditional PlayStation symbols on each of the buttons differ slightly from Sony's official pads. Instead of coloured symbols, Speedlink has opted for a simple black and grey design.
You’ll also notice that the central, circular button, which opens up the XMB, is illuminated in Xbox-green when the controller is turned on and if you look at the control from arms length the 'XEOX' branding actually looks like it says Xbox. Having had our hands on the XEOX prototype at GamesCom, it does feel a little weird handling a controller that is so similar to Microsoft’s official pad, yet using it to play games on the PS3. But, Speedlink really does believe there's a market out there for this kind of product.
Is DualShock 3 that bad that you’d consider buying an Xbox 360 controller, or do you think the Xbox 360 controller feels more comfortable than the DualShock3? Let us know your thoughts.

Can't wait till this thing comes out. I've been waiting for a good solution for my cramping hands for 2 years now. Love Uncharted and inFamous series, but messing with a child-sized controller leaves my man mitts in spasms. PS3 games should come with a small bottle of advil for Christ's sake.

the ds3 controller is the worst controller ever made. i only like it for a few types of games. ive been trying to find a xbox like controller for ps3 for awhile but all of them have major issues like dead zones. im at the point where im about to mod an xbox 360 controller into a ds3. its alot of work but its worth it. playing fps with a ds3 controller is a nightmare. ill buy this controller just to see if its any good. btw, theres a huge market for it because everyone who\'s played both xbox and ps agree that xbox controllers are by far the best controller out there. ds3 feels cheap and everytime i hit R2 L2, i feel like its gonna completely snap off. piece of crap

This is a decent post but on the wrong site. Yes there are some users who might find this information good but then again you are on a PlayStation site. You would get better results putting this on a xbox site. Most people i know who have Xbox won\'t switch to ps3 because of the controller. Yes your controller looks like a xbox controller but is there a switch like there is on the Raven wireless for ps3 to switch the trigger buttons and zoom buttons. To me this looks like a good controller but i will not buy this controller until someone reviews it first. I have a xbox gamer and just was given a PS3 and like it better. SO i will look into this controller once it gets reviewed before doing anything else.

YES!!! This is exactly what I'm looking for. I'm sure there is a market out there for this product. Some gamers prefer the feel of the xbox controller over the ps3 controller.
I prefer the ps3 console but like the xbox controller more.
Where can I get one?!?!?!

none of you controller designers get it. DUDE wake up, on the Xbox 360 the most hated is the D-Pad and these idiot go and replicate it wow how dumb can you guys be. Can you say flop. Look if you are going to port over a horrible bad do som damned homework. Keep the exact SONY D-pad get it stick with what works. As for Sony make a fight pad for gamers sake, geez just remove the R3 and add 2 more buttons to the front of the controller just keep r1 and L1, then you guys will have the perfect controller. OK?

I will be getting it as I am an xbox360 gamer moving to ps3 and I find the duelshock 3 controller a bit weird, but thats just me I always liked the xbox360 controller better
