Sony Santa Monica Studio, the developer behind the critically lauded God of War series, is currently on the hunt for new blood to work on an “unannounced new IP.”

That's according to a job ad posted on Gamasutra, which says the company is seeking an individual where “experience in designing or contributing to the development of an open world game is a plus".

Back in May, a LinkedIn CV for a sound designer at the developer indicated the studio was busy beavering away on two unannounced games for PlayStation 3.

Furthermore, murmurs that Santa Monica Studio is working on God of War 4 have been doing the rounds since early 2011, with gossip pointing to a fall 2012 launch for the actioner.

Stay tuned.

Great news.  I hope we see a new God of War, and some new IP with a similar genre/style.
