Sony Computer Entertainment America has put together a developer diary on the PlayStation Vita, detailing what it was like to get hands-on with the platform for the first time, and how Sony allowed developers to work with engineers extensively in order to produce what some call “The Second Coming of Christ: The Handheld.”
...Okay, Who's calling it that? We are (because we're PSU, dammit). Seriously though, the thing has a heap of hype behind it already, whether it be for the dual-analog sticks, Trophy support, or that beautiful 5-inch OLED screen.
The developer diary, posted on the PS Blog by Director of Hardware Marketing at SCEA, John Koller, has some interesting tidbits of information in it, and even teases some “unannounced titles,” that will feature “location-based experiences.”
The PlayStation Vita will be released in Japan on December 17, and in North America/Europe on February 22, 2012.

they should have kept a holiday release for north america, i think they made a mistake having it come out feb 22nd. people shopping before thanksgiving and on black friday would buy this for a gamer. it would be cool if i could take my sim card from my at&t phone and use the vita as a phone also, wireless blue tooth of course :) Day1 launch for this hand held will be like waiting in line for a ps4, probably

From the very first moment i had my psp(first one made), all i wanted was these hardware and software features. The dual sticks, front and back camera with touchscreen in front and a touchpad behind. Everything it's gonna be a lot more easy to handle. I just got to have this!
