New Zealand retailer Mighty Ape has posted a listing for God of War 4 on its official web page.
According to the site, the actioner will be released on September 28, 2012, and is accompanied by a fan made logo.
Of course, this ties in with previous rumors that Sony Santa Monica is working on a follow-up to Kratos’ 2010 bloodbath, which also claim that the game will be released in September next year.
Furthermore, developer Sony Santa Monica hasn’t ruled out the possibility of making another title in the series, with the studio’s John Hight previously commenting “this is not the end of God of War.”
Job ads for the firm have also hinted that the developer may be looking to incorporate multiplayer in the sequel.

I think it\'s highly possible next year will see something new from Santa Monica. I doubt that the game will feature Kratos though. It may be insane to not include their instantly recognisable character, but i can\'t see how they could continue the greek mythology. It would be interesting to see them start anew with Norse Gods

I would love to have multi-player online and same-console co-op!

Im not surprised. Stig did say after GOW3 that the trilogy is finished but not the franchise. The only thing i was a little surprised about was not at least getting a teaser of it in E3. I wasnt expecting a announcment or anything like that just maybe a little teaser trailer. Since this trilogy is over they dont have to release it in march anymore. With what happened in GOW3 its gonna be very interesting what they do with the next installment.
