Fresh evidence indicating Visceral Games is beavering away on a follow-up to Dante’s Inferno has surfaced online this week.
Visceral writer Joshua Rubin’s blog classifies him as the “sole writer for a Major Unannounced Sequel” at Visceral, and says he is “creating a major new unannounced IP for a AAA game company.”
The former certainly sounds like it could be Dante’s Inferno 2, though it might also pertain to Dead Space 3, which technically hasn’t been officially announced yet.
However, a link provided directs your browser to the Dante’s Inferno Super Bowl commercial, indicating a sequel could be in the pipeline.
Rumors of a sequel have been doing the rounds for a good while now, with a job ad posted in June 2010 stating Visceral had been on the lookout for an environment artist to work on “the sequel to a major new IP.”
A second post appeared a couple of months later advertising for fresh talent to help work on a “sequel to a major new IP at the award-wining Visceral Games, creators of Dead Space and Dante’s Inferno.”
Stay tuned.

It'll happen, they are making it. It was a big seller, you know they're slowly chipping away at it, and very fast working on Dead Space 3 since it's their biggest franchise.
