Final Fantasy XIII-2 has received full marks from Japanese publication Famitsu, bagging an impressive 40/40.
That means each of the game’s four reviewers awarded the RPG sequel a shiny 10, also commenting that Square has ironed out any creases found in the original, offering a follow-up that’s brimming with content.
By comparison, the game’s predecessor didn’t do too shabby either, bagging 39/40 in late 2009.
FFXIII-2 is the third game to receive top marks this year, the other two games being The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
Be sure to check out the recent environments trailer for FFXIII here.

This would have to be a massive improvement over the first game for me to buy it again.
Not been impressed with a FF game since IX.

I hope they make some serious changes to the sequal. I was a huge FF fan and loved every game untill ff13 I have still to this day never managed to keep going after the shiva sisters just lost the will to live. So fingures crossed they sort it but still think it'l be a rent before buying it for me.

This is good news and I'm glad that they have addressed many of the complaints that people had. Unfortunately this means that people will play the game expecting it to be perfect and come away disappointed. That is always the problem when things get hyped...
