Battle Arena Toshinden was developed by Tamsoft and launched for PlayStation, Sega Saturn, and Windows 95 in January 1995, and was followed by Battle Arena Toshinden II that same year for PlayStation and Windows 95. Sega Saturn received a modified version of this game in 1996 known as Battle Arena Toshinden URA, with Battle Arena Toshinden 3 launching on PlayStation later that same year. Finally, Toshinden 4 arrived in 1999 for the PlayStation in Japan and Europe, but didn’t see the light of day in the US.
