 The only reason they have the title "Metal Gear" on that game is for product awareness, other than that this is not in any way related to a Metal Gear game and shouldn't even carry that title in my opinion.

 Apart from the really shaky combat, some of the scenarios were very appealing, like the vamped Ray fight. I also feel that, if the stealth element still exists like it had been promised, that should have also been shown. 

Maybe this was a way to get the worst thoughts out of the way and the game is better from here? Hopefully. Kojima did say that he would lay the smack down, in one way or another, if Rising went too far off of what he wanted to have in MGS.

i actually agree with one, this should just be called solid rising or something else,   no way this should have metal gear in the title, even though the trailer does rock.   the slicing looks insane,  i figured the villan would be vamp.   i think we might see hal emmerich in this because of vamp, cuz he did kill his sister in MGS2 why not put him in there helping raiden.     but, i doubt kojima san will do that cuz snake and otacon are buddies,  looks good to me somewhat .....

Actually looks insane! I agree it's more like Gundam or some crazy Anime than a Metal Gear game, but I like the fact that it has it's own identity instead of following MGS4 closely. This was never intended to be a true MGS stealth experience.

Gameplay does look a bit shakey though, have to reserve comment on that until more gameplay footage comes out

 you guys need to play vanquish, you will have a better apreciation for these guys taking over development. this game is gonna be awesomely fun and i for one and looking forward to playing it.

To me it just looks like a serious over the top Devil May Cry in the world of Metal Gear it would get repeative thats for sure

Well I think it looks awesome, and yes it should be called Metal Gear because you fight Metal Gears in the game! They changed the Solid to Rising because it's not a Solid Snake game. Makes sense to me. I'm excited for some awesome ninja action.

It has Metal Gear in the name, and Metal Gears in the game...what\'s the problem? I\'d be more upset if it had "Solid" in the title, since Snake doesn\'t seem to be in it. This game is obviously not centered around stealth action, but as long as it keeps the level of quality and fun (albeit from a different approach) that we\'ve come to expect from the series then I will continue to look forward to it. That trailer looks fun as heck (apparently I used a banned word).
