Anarchy Reigns has been delayed until July 6, 2012, publisher SEGA has announced.

The online actioner, developed by the chaps at Platinum Games, was originally pencilled in for release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in January 2012.

Speaking of the delay, SEGA West’s senior vice president of marketing, Gary Knight, commented, "Anarchy Reigns brings a new take to the brawler genre and we've decided to take a little more time to deliver the full knockout punch. I can't reveal much now, but it's something to do with scale. Let's just say traditional one on one or two versus two fighters will be a thing of the past.”

The game is known as Max Anarchy in Japan.
