Killzone 3’s multiplayer mode will be released on PlayStation Network as a free download, Sony has revealed.

According to the company’s latest Blogcast, the download will feature all of the multiplayer component’s maps, though will contain an as-yet unspecified level cap.

Consequently, players will find themselves limited in terms of what rank they can acquire, as well as the number of weapons and skills they can unlock. If you want the full experience, you’ll have to fork out $14.99.

Killzone 3’s multiplayer will be available to download in the U.S. on February 28. No word yet on a European date, but we’ll keep you posted.

Already own it. The multiplayer is practicly dead on it. KZ2 still has a butt load people on it, specially in other regions. I dont know what the h e l l happened to 3?

I find it kind of strange the lack of players, since it got a load of options and game modes, better graphics that won't mess with my eyes, plus I find it more fun as well... I still have the 2nd game and love it but the third is better at least the MP, the single player is good but story on the second is better.

KZ3 has better gameplay n graphics,it so smooth but KZ2 has higher player count n way better maps and its nice to have server options which kz3 lacks. The biggest let down is lowering the player count, its suppose to be a war game and dropping to 8vs8 does not feel like that.

t has a lack of players because of the hack and while it may be an exclusive its not all that popular so it just died out ill probably still pick this up for 14.99 because my ps3 doesn't play discs anymore. *crosses fingers* GT5 on PS Store.
