Reports cropped up over the weekend of gamers being unable to take Twisted Metal online in Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) territories.

Sony America’s official forums were met with a tidal wave of complaints from predominantly European players stating they were unable to play the vehicular combat title in EMEA regions.

Gamers soon took their issues to Twisted Metal head honcho David Jaffe’s Twitter, who admitted he had no knowledge as to the cause of the problem. However, he said he’s take it up with Sony later today.

“I am hearing this and [am] sorry about it. I will know what is up on Monday,” wrote Jaffe. “No clue why SCEE territories are locked out. I’m sorry.”

More as we get it.
