Three Mass Effect 3 cast members have confirmed they are recording fresh dialogue for the forthcoming Extended Cut DLC.
First up, Admiral Hackett’s voice actor Lance Henriken told G4 that he has already started the recording process:
“I just did another session with them. They were saying there’s a little bit of a problem with the abruptness of the end,” he commented. “So we did a whole series of things to add to the end of the game, to live up to the quality they’ve been doing.”
Meanwhile, Tricia Helfer, who plays EDI, confirmed she’ll be entering the recording studio in a couple of days.
Lastly, Kaidan Alenko’s VA Raphael Sbarge confirmed he’s back in the saddle on Twitter: “Just when you thought I would never go back, they keep pulling me back in Mass Effect Recording,” he wrote.
The Extended Cut is BioWare’s way of addressing widespread fan complaint over the ending of Mass Effect 3, which may felt did not offer enough closure to certain characters or reflect their personal choices.
The free DLC will be released in summer 2012.
Cheers, VG247

Extended Cut is not enough. Even though it's free and it's going to explain more thoroughly of the ending, that doesn't mean most of us are satisfied about it. What about the optiona to install data for the PS3 version? I've been getting some ridiculous slow framerate, especially at the Citadel part.

I thought the problem was that in the end none of the player's choices made any difference, despite all the promises that it would.
Still, some good will come out of all this if they think twice before going all cheap at the end of a triple-A series again.
