Rumor: Ubisoft’s new Splinter Cell game is called Black List

Ubisoft’s in-development Splinter Cell title will apparently carry the subtitle Black List, according to the latest Internet gossip.

Not only that, but the game will supposedly be unveiled at E3, and will hit PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U in January 2013.

If that wasn’t enough to get you frothing at the mouth, a poster on NeoGAF claims to have had a gander at a promo for the title, which says Sam Fisher “is looking good as always with no grey hair, full body suit, and his mighty goggles.”

Furthermore, the poster adds that Black List will be a full sequel to Splinter Cell: Conviction, and that the “plot will be based on his [Fisher’s] enemies targeted as Blacklist.” Ubisoft is also planning a Limited Edition release too.

Ubisoft has remained tight-lipped on a new Splinter Cell game, though Jade Raymond, head of the company’s Toronto studio, has confirmed that the firm is working on the game.

Stay tuned.
