Embracer Group has revealed in its latest earnings report that it expects to release Darksiders 4 and the next instalment in the Kingdom Come series to in FY 2027/28.
This would mean that both games could see a release between April 2027 and March 2028, although that’s about as close to a release date as we’re going to get for now.
“In FY 2027/28, we expect the release of the next game in the Kingdom Come franchise from Warhose Studios, Darksdiers 4 from Gunfire Games, as well as the externally published Tomb Raider: Catalyst from Crystal Dynamics along with Flying Wild Hog and Edios Montreal,” said the company.
Warhorse Studios announced back in May that it was working on a new Kingdom Come title alongside an open-world Middle-earth RPG, although didn’t share any further details on the titles. Meanwhile, a new Darksiders game was announced during the 2024 edition of THQ Nordic’s annual showcase, but few details have been released since then.
Embracer Group announced a few months back that it was spinning off Fellowship Entertainment into its own company, with the outfit housing major IPs including The Lord of the Rings and Tomb Raider. The goal is to establish the company in 2027, where it will oversee other IPs including Darksiders, Dead Islands, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Metro, and more.
