Rumor: Final Fantasy Versus XIII becomes Final Fantasy XV

Elusive RPG spin-off Final Fantasy Versus XIII is apparently no longer exclusive to Sony’s PlayStation 3 console, and will also be released for the Nintendo Wii U.
Not only that, but the game, which was originally announced way back at E3 2006, has apparently been completely rebranded as Final Fantasy XV.
That’s at least according to a video purportedly leaked (via MCV) from a Square Enix pre-E3 press briefing, which clearly displays the game’s title and PS3 and Wii U logos. Of course, this should be treated as pure speculation at this point, since Square has yet to issue an official comment on the subject.

The last time we heard anything on Versus XIII was back in September, when Square confirmed that the title had now entered full production. At the time it was still thought to be a PS3-exclusive, though if this video is indeed the real deal, it appears this is no longer the case.

I guess we know what is going to be Microsoft's bombshell this E3; I'm willing to bet they'll announce FFv13 (now FF15) also coming to the 360. Square is sad, no wonder they kept delaying... I'm glad I haven't wasted my time and money with them anymore.
It's unfortunate they have lost touch, and I'm not a fanboy, I don't mind if they go multiplat; but I do mind that they spread lies, they take forever, and then they underdeliver. -

if true (I won't lose time saying again Microsoft and their dirty money, blah blah), we need to be strong and have the PS3 sales for this game to be 0, not one PS3 gamer shall buy this game

Rebranding it to XV does make sense...I mean, WTF did "versus" mean anyway.

its fake, please take off this video it does not deserve to get the attention.
look at the video. the spokesperson is random,
the people are brown, the cheer is fake, the room is a lecture hall, theres no information about it. god dont give it any more hits than it deserves, scammers trying to make money off youtube.

Concidering how long the game has been in development I dont think it would be to hard to imagine this game multiplatform even without MS sticking their wallets in Squeenix's face. They've been spending a ton of money making this thing and it's not going to make it's money back on one system if the FF13 hate over flows onto this title.

The best thing for 'Versus XIII' would be for it to be rebranded as Final Fantasy 15. It would cut all ties to the failure (in many people's minds) that was XIII and also be more fitting for the epic scale that we've seen Versus display so far.__As far as what console it is on... i've lost all interest in console wars and whatnot. At this point we should be blessed that the game will even be released.
