Sony’s confirmed that quirky animal-‘em-up Tokyo Jungle has reached 200,000 units shipped/sold in Japan.

The figure covers the period June 7 – 22, and takes into account shipments for the Blu-ray release of the game as well as digital sales via PlayStation Network.

To celebrate, Sony has cobbled together a special advert for Tokyo Jungle championing the milestone, which exclaims, “Let’s go for 210,000!”

The commercial won’t be your average TV affair though. Rather, Sony plans to air it on public monitors in Shibuya through July 10 at the following spots: 109 Forum Vision, Q’s Eye, MightyVision Shibuya, and Shibuya Television 2.

Tokyo Jungle has yet to attract a western release date, though Sony has previously confirmed that a U.S. and European launch is in the pipeline.
