Konami has confirmed that gamers will be able to download Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots’ hotly-anticipated Trophy patch in August.
The company confirmed yesterday that the celebrated stealth-‘em-up title would finally receive Trophy integration more than four years after its launch. This will also arrive by means of an updated ‘PlayStation 3 The Best’ release in Japan.
For the record, the patch will add approximately 34 Trophies.
Elsewhere, it has also been revealed that MGS4 will be receiving an option to fully install the game in Japan with the new budget re-release. No word yet on whether this will also make the transition to the U.S. and Europe, but we’ll keep you posted.

@5 August is an entire month. No exact date was specified. All they gave us was a release window.
Regarding the trophies, although it's very unlikely that I'll be playing this game, I hope they don't look like utter rubbish like a load of developers have been doing recently. Give us interesting trophy images and don't cop out on it just because decent designs is apparently too difficult for some developers...
