Sony Gamescom press conference dated

Sony’s Gamescom press conference will take place on August 14 at 7.00 p.m. local time, the platform holder has confirmed.
The presser will take place in Cologne at Staatenhaus am Rheinpark. Gamescom itself kicks off on August 15 and runs through until August 19.
In the past, Sony has used its Gamescom presser as a platform to announce various hardware revisions, notably the PS3 Slim in 2009 and the budget-range PSP at last year’s event.
According to the latest industry rumblings, the hardware manufacturer is poised to lift the veil on yet another revision of the PS3 this year, namely the PS3-4000, or Super Slim PS3.
