Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
When Kojima Productions set out to create what was once supposed to be the swan song of Solid Snake, the team pulled no stops. From (reportedly) filling a 50GB dual-layered Blu-Ray disc, to wrapping up one of the most convoluted stories ever told in a video game, Metal Gear Solid 4 had it all. Love it or hate it, this game rightfully deserves to be on the list of best PS3 games ever. And don’t forget: it remained PS3-exclusive!
One part Diablo, one part first-person shooter, Borderlands delivered an experience unlike any other in the current generation of consoles. Hilarious characters (I’m looking at you, Claptrap) and tons of loot made up for the lack of decent storytelling and less-than-perfect controls. But there was one feature that made this game nigh irresistible, and that’s fully-functional 4-player co-op. Score.
Which of these two games deserves to move forward in our competition? Cast your votes in the official polling thread, and be sure to vote in all our match-ups to decide the Best PS3 Game Ever!

Tough decision! Borderlands. Because it's awesome plain and simple. That and the fact that the dlc was actually worth the money. Oh and MGS4 took to long to get a trophy patch. Shame on you Hideo!
