Pete Hines, Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing, issued some bad news on his Twitter account in regards to the Dawnguard downloadble content for Elder Scrolls: Skyrim.
The post in question refers to the fact that Skyrim’s upcoming DLC doesn’t have planned release times, or official announcements for that matter, for the PlayStation 3 and PC versions of Skyrim. Specifically, Hines had this to say:
"We have not announced Dawnguard for any other platform, nor given a timeline for any such news. If we have news, I promise I’d tell you."
This may look like another Microsoft buyout, but Hines also had this to say in response to comments:
"I was simply stating that expecting/demanding something today is unfounded. Not that news is never coming."
Hopefully, this is simply a misunderstanding, and Dawnguard is still being developed for both PS3 and PC. We’ll keep you updated as Hines and Bethesda release more information. Until then, speculate on what you think could be the cause. Does this change your mind to buy the DLC, or is Bethesda still bringing Dawnguard to PS3 and PC?
