God of War III vs. Heavy Rain - Pick the best PS3 game ever

It's been a long journey, but the finish line is in sight. With your help - PSU readers, community members, and the PlayStation Nation at large - we've arrived at the Championship Round. 32 of the very best games on PlayStation 3 have been whittled down to only two, and these two games will compete tomorrow for your vote.
What's on the line? A free PS3 game for the contest entrant with the most points. The title of Best PS3 Game Ever. It has been an intense competition, but this one's for all the marbles - the final decision to give meaning to everything that has come before. And we can hardly think of two more deserving games.
GOD OF WAR III VS. HEAVY RAIN
In one corner, we have the third outing of Kratos, a violent force of nature whose quest for vengeance has been dubbed "simply one of the best games of all time." Fitting, because God of War III is an ultra-polished tough-as-nails thrill ride from start to finish. Never has a game so masterfully combined the art of fluid combat and puzzle-solving with a story so epic in scope and ambition. PSU's own Adam Dolge called it "the best entry in the series, hands down, and one of the best action-adventure games of this generation." As visceral as it is weighted with emotion, God of War III is a worthy contender for the title and Sony Santa Monica's finest achievement.
In the other corner, the sophomore effort of French studio Quantic Dream stands proud as a wholly unique experience and the only game of its kind on PS3. Heavy Rain is an interactive drama, and its quest to spur emotion has introduced us to some of the greatest characters and storytelling in PlayStation history. More immersive than Skyrim, more engaging than Portal 2 - Heavy Rain is second-to-none in its ability to make gamers feel and is incredibly rewarding for doing so. The white-knuckle fight scenes, the difficult moral choices, and the frantic race to save your dying son are memorable highlights in a game whose only flaw was not receiving more post-launch content. We didn't want this journey to end, but now that it has, we know Quantic Dream will never lead us astray.
Only one of these games can earn your vote. Only one can be named the Greatest PS3 Game of All Time. The choice is yours, but choose wisely - only one vote may be cast. So join the debate in our official polling thread; voting will end at approximately 9 AM ET on Friday, August 10.

Heavy rain is an awesome game, and I really love it. However, I am currently replaying MGS4 and there is NO ****ing way heavy rain is better. Think all your voters need to pop that game back in and give it another spin. Clearly they have forgotten how great the game truely is.

Are you serious people... The finals came down to God of War III and Heavy Rain!? Granted, Heavy Rain is a pretty sick game, but God of War beat all those amazing title? How is God of War III better than Demon's Souls, Red Dead, GTA IV or Uncharted 2? It should not have gotten this far... Shame.
P.S. Also, now that I'm looking at it... How is Infamous better than the original BioShock!? I'm so confused on these results...

These finals were rigged. Uncharted 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4 should be in the final, no way should they have been beaten by these two. A problem that I realised was evident a while ago is that people have been voting based on what will give them the best chances of winning this competition. I am 99% certain that these two games got into the final because people have been voting more than once for the games they want/will give them the best chance of winning; in fact I personally know people that have openly admitted to creating multiple accounts so that they can vote their game into the lead. This was how Heavy Rain beat Skyrim. I may be wrong, but I heavily suspect that people have been creating accounts to get the games they want into the final. Look at the predictions. 95% of people predicted Uncharted 2 or Metal Gear Solid 4 to win, myself included. It's logical to assume that votes should reflect the predictions. For neither of them to get into the final is an outrage. People have been rigging this competition. It's no longer about which is the best game; it's about winning that free game at the end.

Oh, and before anyone suggests that I'm only annoyed because my favourite games went out: I'm not. I'm not into Metal Gear Solid, for example, but I'd be happy if it won. I'm simply stating that it's evident that this contest has been fiddled with to fit the wants of an individual/group of individuals. Like I said, I may be wrong, but I know for a fact that there are people creating multiple accounts to get the games they want into the lead - and I'm sure there are more than a few of them. I'm not sure if this is for the sake of the game they want winning, or in order to win the free game (or even both), but there has definitely been some fiddling.
This will all contribute to some major feedback I will post to the PSU staff after the contest concludes.

@Beasly2k,lol look who it is,the guy that was trying to tell me that i couldn't prove people were only voting for the most popular and ps3 exclusives and not the games they truly liked,lol it's about time you realized that beasly,this contest was a joke from the start.

@11 - Look who it is, the person who spelt my username incorrectly twice in the same comment. It's not that hard to spell it, it's even written there in front of you. If it's that hard, copy and paste it.
The difference is that you could not prove that people were voting for exclusives solely for their exclusivity. You cannot prove that, unless, of course, everyone admitted to it. In this instance, however, people have been creating multiple accounts to give the game they want to win an advantage by voting several times, and I have had people openly admit to doing that to me. That is proof. Yes, several people did, as you said, vote for a game simply because it was exclusive, but not everyone did that, which was my point from the beginning, yet you are still unable to comprehend that. That's a different matter to fiddling with the competition completely.
They are two entirely different situations, and "it's about time you realised" this. No, you can't prove that people were voting just for the exclusives, and I am right about that. And now, in this situation, you have completely made a fool out of yourself by missing what I have said. i make that 2 - 0 to me.

Heavy Rain beat MGS4? Just shows a lot of ppl.haven't played MGS4, which should be the best game on PS3, period.
