The online CV for an EA Gothenburg employee has indicated the studio is chiselling away on a new entry in the Need for Speed franchise.

LinkedIn’s profile for the employee states he’s “working on the best racing franchise ever – Need for Speed,” and is handling the game’s “UI and Autolog” elements.

A number of EA Gothenburg’s employees have quite the pedigree when it comes to racing games, having worked on the likes of Project Gotham Racing, Need for Speed: The Run, RACE Pro and Forza Horizon.

The company hasn’t been around long, having been established back in March of this year to work on “a new generation of games on the Frostbite 2 engine.”

Criterion Games is currently working on Need for Speed: Most Wanted, and is said to have a “strong involvement” in the future of the venerable racing series.
