PlayStation Store's 'new look' will debut in October

According to the AU PlayStation Blog, the PlayStation Store will receive its long-awaited redesign in a couple short weeks.

"To tie in with the launch, PlayStation Store for PS3 is set to get a new look from October 2012 too, making it even easier for you to find and download the content you love from the comfort of your sofa."

As mentioned in the quote, the makeover is tied with the upcoming release of the slimmer PS3 model, which is coming to North America on September 25 in a bundle with Uncharted 3: Game of the Year Edition. The bundle model will feature a 250 GB HDD, while a 500 GB version will debut on October 30. The bundle and 500 GB model will cost $269.99 and $299.99, respectively.

For now, the PS Store makeover is only confirmed for Australia, though we expect that every territory will follow suit at roughly the same time.

Do you have any theories on the PS Store redesign? Any features you'd like to see added or removed? Make your voice heard in the comments section.
